Imperial Bastion pits you against Tyranids; The Great Parch against Skaven.

  1. Imperial Bastion

    Warhammer 40,000

    Imperial Bastion

An Imperial bastion swarmed by Tyranids in a consumed wasteland.

Tyranid swarms: break Synapse support, watch for leaping attackers, and clear rescue guards.

    Waves & bosses

    Stage details — Imperial Bastion

    Battlefield features

The ruined Imperial Bastion is a Tyranid battlefield. The important distinction is between the surrounding swarm and the creatures supporting it through Synapse.

    Tyranid threats & mechanics

Synapse sources such as Hive Tyrants give nearby Termagants and Hormagaunts Berserk, increasing their speed and damage. Von Ryan’s Leapers can rear up and vault over other enemies to pounce; the front line of small enemies is not a safe barrier.

    Target priorities

Prioritize a Synapse source when you can reach it: killing one briefly stuns nearby lesser bioforms as well as removing its support. Use that opening to disengage from the swarm or approach a rescue target. React to a Leaper’s wind-up rather than watching only the nearest enemy.

    Rescue objectives

Kozlowski and the Legend of Catachan are rescue targets. Defeat the enemies harassing a rescue character to have them join the run. In the 40K preview, IGN found rescues at question-mark objectives and Tyranid Warriors guarding Catachan; if that guarded encounter appears, prioritize the Synapse Warriors over the strengthened swarm.

  2. The Great Parch

    Warhammer Age of Sigmar

    The Great Parch

A dry, desolate land. Full of blazing heat, sulphurous fumes and teeming with Skaven.

Ashen Skaven plains; watch for horizontal Vermintide crossings, not just pursuing enemies.

    Waves & bosses

Stage details — The Great Parch

    Battlefield features

Skaven swarm across the Great Parch’s ashen plains. The Age of Sigmar preview describes periodic Vermintide waves whose rats rush horizontally instead of following the usual pursuit pattern.

    Crossing-wave priorities

When a horizontal wave approaches, leave its crossing lane rather than circling it as though it were a pursuing pack. Check the lane before committing to a pickup or a fight; return to that target after the crossing passes.

Skaven matchup reference — not a stage roster

If encountered, a Bell of Doom grants nearby Skaven Warded, making even weak rats tougher. Ratling Gunners cross the screen firing into damaging hazard zones; Acolyte Globadiers leave poisonous clouds. Avoid committing your escape route through gunfire or lingering poison.

    Desert Wasteland

Barren badlands, virtually devoid of life. The Hive Fleet have swarmed and consumed relentlessly, leaving an empty husk of a world.

  5. Gallowdark

    Warhammer 40,000

    Gallowdark

Navigate the chaotic maze of a derelict space hulk infested by Death Guard.

Announced: tight space-hulk corridors, Death Guard, and a Great Unclean One Extremis boss.

    Availability unknown

    Stage details — Gallowdark

    Announced battlefield

Gallowdark is a derelict space hulk with tight, corrupted corridors occupied by Death Guard. Bulkheads and buckled passages make this a different navigation problem from an open plain.

    Announced major threat

A Great Unclean One is the Extremis boss announced for Gallowdark. Its identity is known; its attack sequence and defeat requirements are not yet established.

    Route-planning priority

Plan around corridor exits rather than assuming you can circle every crowd. Before entering a narrow passage, identify the way back so the Death Guard cannot force you to rely on a wide sidestep that the corridor does not allow.

Tips: Enemies get stronger and faster over time.

Unlock conditions and stage values are unknown.

  6. Hobby Table

    Warhammer 40,000

    Hobby Table

The tabletop of a Warhammer 40,000 hobbyist.

Announced: mixed factions among paint pots and hobby tools; plan a route through the desk clutter.

    Availability unknown

    Stage details — Hobby Table

    Announced battlefield

The 40K Hobby Table places combat among paint pots, cutting mats and hobby tools. Navigation involves weaving through the tools rather than treating the whole tabletop as unobstructed ground.

    Mixed-faction pressure

Multiple enemy factions can appear, sometimes at the same time. Do not plan the encounter as a Tyranid-only fight: identify the enemies actually approaching before deciding what to focus.

    Desk-route priority

Choose the gap between tools before drawing a mixed crowd toward it. Keep another gap in view so a paint pot or tool does not turn your planned retreat into a blocked corner.

Tips: Random enemy waves from normal stages.

Unlock conditions and stage values are unknown.

  8. Ork Stronghold

    Warhammer 40,000

    Ork Stronghold

Fight your way through a Goff fort without getting krumped by da boyz!

Announced: Grots, Bomb Squigs, Boyz and Lootas; a red screen signals a heavier Waaagh! surge.

    Availability unknown

    Stage details — Ork Stronghold

    Announced enemy lineup

The Stronghold reveal shows Grots, Bomb Squigs, Ork Boyz and Lootas firing across the battlefield. Expect to account for shooting as well as the crowd pressing toward you.

    Waaagh! warning & Extremis reveal

When fighting Orks, a reddening screen warns of Waaagh!: more enemies spawn and Orks become frenzied. The Ork reveal also introduces Ghazghkull Thraka, who brings mobs of Boyz in a Waaagh!; no fixed arrival minute is given.

    Surge priority

Treat the red-screen warning as the moment to secure room for the incoming crowd, not a cue to chase a distant target. Check the firing lanes from Lootas before choosing that space so the surge does not push you directly into gunfire.

Unlock conditions and stage values are unknown.

  13. The Twin-Tailed City

    Warhammer Age of Sigmar

    The Twin-Tailed City

The legendary Hammerhal, two free cities joined by a Realmgate and relentlessly attacked by Chaos forces.

Announced: the Stormrift Realmgate changes both biome and enemy faction between the city’s two realms.

    Availability unknown

Stage details — The Twin-Tailed City

    Announced battlefield

Hammerhal, the Twin-Tailed City, spans Aqshy and Ghyran. The Stormrift Realmgate connects its two sides and allows travel between their different biomes.

    Realmgate mechanic

Crossing the gate changes not only the scenery but the enemy faction: Skaven besiege one side and the Blades of Khorne the other. A gate crossing therefore changes the matchup you are preparing to fight.

    Crossing priority

Use the gate as a deliberate change of battlefield, not as an assumed safe escape. Before crossing, decide whether you want the other faction’s matchup; once across, reassess the enemies instead of continuing the same target plan automatically.

Tips: Travel by realmgate between Aqshan and Ghyran

Unlock conditions and stage values are unknown.

  14. Hobby Table

    Warhammer Age of Sigmar

    Hobby Table

The tabletop of a Warhammer Age of Sigmar hobbyist.

Announced: the Age of Sigmar tabletop mixes enemy factions around oversized hobby supplies.

    Availability unknown

    Stage details — Hobby Table

    Announced battlefield

Age of Sigmar has its own Hobby Table stage. Paint pots, cutting mats and tools form the battlefield’s desk-scale scenery, with routes weaving between hobby equipment.

    Overlapping factions

The Hobby Table can send multiple factions at once. Do not rely on a Skaven-focused plan carried over from the Great Parch: the mixed encounter is the defining difference here.

    Mixed-encounter priority

Identify each approaching group before committing to a tool-lined route. If different groups converge, favor a route with another exit over a narrow gap that requires pushing through both groups at once.

Tips: Random enemy waves from normal stages.

Unlock conditions and stage values are unknown.
